Capture Salyzy by noon, break through the line and establish a bridgehead over the river, but a Russian counter-attack leaves the division isolated in the bridgehead. Clear the forest of Russians on the evening.
10.09.41 Advance along the road in a northerly direction. Clear Russians from sector south of the Leningrad Line before noon. Clear 40,000 mines from the edge of the forest. Infiltrate the Leningrad Line at four separate points. Russian cavalry counter-attack defeated. Reduce defences using Stukas, medium artillery, anti-tank guns and flak, whilst infantry attack the flanks and rear. Reach railway line on afternoon.
11.09.41 Reach the Krasnogvardeysk - Leningrad highway, behind the Russian positions defenidng Krasnogvardeysk, blocking their retreat. Whilst much equipment is destroyed, the Russians escape during the night.
12.09.41 Encounter the strongest defensive positions during four years of war in the east.
13.09.41 Manoeuvre to the rear of the fortifications via Posyolok Taytsy. Plans of defences captured from Russian engineer. Russians launch an attack out of Pushkin into the rear of the division, including approximately fifty KV heavy tanks. Russian attack halted with the help of the newly arrived 616th Panzerjaeger Battalion. The rest of Panzer Regiment 11 attacks and the Russians withdraw. Meanwhile, the Motorised Infantry Regiment reduces the fortifications in a lengthy operation.
14.09.41 Ordered to halt the offensive at Krasnogvardeysk.
